I had met him at the residence of Ustad Faiyaz Ahmed ‘s res. Maybe he wanted
to learn from him. Then went to Madras. I remember to hear him. Ordinary- just
playing fast taans without any system. All musicians connect themselves to the
family of some great well known great names. BUT we cannot get involved in
family tree of musicians just because someone for no worthwhile reason wants
to waste our time. !!

Was going through a few articles and came across the name and work of this
sitar player named Ahmed Hussain Khan. Found out that he belongs to the
gharana of Mian Achpal and Tanrus Khan of Delhi. Recently I had the good
fortune to listen to his only record playing raaga Shyam Kalyan and Marwa. His
style of playing has taken to my interest. As far as my knowledge goes he is a
founder of a music school named after mian ajpal in Madras.
If you could kindly throw some more light on him and enlighten me.
