Pt. Arvind Parikh has encouraged his students to develop a larger musical vision, beyond their aspirations as sitarists. With this purpose, in September 2014, Pt. Arvind Parikh started hosting baithaks at his residence to permit his students to interact with leading Hindustani musicians from India and abroad and understand their artistic achievements. He has so far hosted 44 monthly sessions. During these sessions, we understood a lot about the art of other instruments and about the various gharanas of vocal music. The events have become extremely popular, persuading Pt. Arvind Parikh to upload the videos of the sessions on YouTube. Now, they have a world-wide following.
