Oh I see..last month I met Suresh ji Talwekar and he mentioned Jarab regarding the
Laya of Ustad Vilayat Khan sab and Ali Akbar kha as they denied the obvious
layakari/ginatkari but still it sounds complete music so I asked him how it’s possible
without modern laykari then he quoted Jarab ki Laya means total command on Laya
“Unka ek ek avartan sur aur lay se bhara hua “can’t be separated from the raga they
played” So asked

reference to sitar and tabla
