I have been asking several veterans about the relevance of the number 3. However, I haven’t got any worthwhile answer as yet. In the meantime, I realised that just as there are several examples of 3, there are several examples of 2 as well. We have -Sita/Ram, Nar/Nari, Laxmi/ Narayan and so on. I venture to think that – as some one concluded that mathematics is all about 1 and 2, which added would have triggered the unshakable belief in number 3.
